1. What are our products made of and how long they will last?

Our products are made of 2.5 mil premium german vinyl. Outdoor durability of the vinyl we use is: 5 years in case of black and white (glossy and matte) colors, 4 years in case of glossy and metallic colors (excluding brilliant blue - 3 years). The information above is based on the manufacturer’s specifications. There are several factors that affect the life expectancy of the final product such as: proper cleaning and degreasing prior to application, ensuring that the product is not getting washed, cleaned or waxed for 48 hours after installation (until it cures), type of chemicals used to clean the car they are applied on, type of towel used to wipe down the product after wash, usage/non-usage use of pressure washer, excessive sun exposure, excessive rain, snow. Temperature resistance of our products adhered to aluminum is -40°F to +176°F, meanwhile the adhesive power is 4.1 lb/in.

2. What conditions are suitable for installing our products?

It is recommended that vinyl decals, stripes and graphics be installed in clean, dust and distraction free environment with temperatures between 65° F to 72° F. Minimum application temperature is 46° F. If it is too cold the vinyl will crack at the edges when departed from the non-sticky silicon coated backing paper and the adhesive will not adhere, if it is too hot the vinyl is prone to stretching and deformation.

3. How should our decals, stripes and graphics be cleaned and maintained?

Our products should be cleaned carefully with a sponge and warm soapy water then rinsed with clean water. Use a protected soft-edge squeegee to remove excess water and wipe it carefully with a microfiber towel – special attention at the edges of the product (they are rounded to prevent lifting but clean with care). Do not use chamois leathers, cloths or shop towels as these may lift and catch the finer parts or edges of it. Usage of microfiber towel is recommended (always tear the label of the towel). Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners, chemicals or solvents. Pressure washers may be used but ensure the water pressure is kept below 2000 psi, use a spray nozzle with a 40 degree wide angle spray pattern and keep the nozzle at least 1 foot away from the product. Do not hold the nozzle at an angle and to the side since it may lift the product. Lifting might cause the glue to get contaminated.

4. Can I wax over the products?

We recommend you do not apply any chemicals, including wax to our products since they might contain petroleum distillates, know to be harmful for the vinyl and adhesive. Petroleum distillate free wax products can be used, just make sure you check the manufacturer’s specifications. Chemicals may react with the products and cause them to crack and deteriorate (they usually make the vinyl dry and rigid after a few months). Using mild soap and water will keep your products looking good for many years. If the petroleum distillate (safe) wax collects on the edge of the product we recommend using wax remover/degreaser to remove it and then rinse it with soap and water. To prevent build up of wax around the edges of your product, use a cotton bud dipped into wax remover/degreaser to remove it right after the application. Do not wait until it fully dries. Leaving wax on the surface of the product or the edges of it may eventually lead to problems.

5. Will the decals, stripes or graphics damage the paint/clear coat?

Our products should not damage your trucks paint or clear coat in any shape or form once the paint and clearcoat of your vehicle is in perfect condition. Please do not apply the decal over damaged areas or areas where rockchips are present to prevent damages in case of removal of the graphics. However, if the decals, stripes or other graphics are exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time, then you may see a difference in color where the graphics were when you come to remove it, since the paint tends to fade around. This usually takes several years and the duration until this happens varies from location to location. We are not liable for decolorization of the body panels, or any other damage caused by application or removal of our decals, stripes or other graphics. Please consult Section 13 of our “Terms Of Service” for further information, located under “Terms” menu.

6. Are our products reusable?

No, they are not. They are made of vinyl designed for permanent application, once removed the vinyl become deformed, stretched and the adhesive will be damaged aswell.

7. How can our products be safely removed?

If the product was recently installed it should peel away relatively easily. To remove any of residue left behind we recommend using glue remover and isopropyl alcohol.

If the product has been on the vehicle for some time, it may peel off in small pieces, depending on how much it is affected by the UV radiations . We recommend using a heatgun to soften the adhesive, medium temperature. Do not overheat/burn the decals, stripes or any other graphics or the paint/clearcoat. Using a squeegee or plastic edge to lift the corners of the graphic will help the removal process. Do not use a blade, knife or any other sharp object as it might scratch the paint or clear coat.

Try to peel the graphic away at a 45 degree angle as this helps to remove the majority of the adhesive together with the vinyl.

8. How long to wait before installing our products on fresh paint?

General rule is: at least 30 days. Very rarely, less time than this will work. Usually because, per special request, extra hardener was added to the paint to fasten up the regular curing time. You should check directly with the body shop that painted the vehicle to see what curing time they recommend. During the curing process, the paint will continue to change, to shrink or expand, shed solvents and thinners. If the paint is covered with a decal, stripe or any other graphics before this can happen, undesired results can occur. If the paint is cured to the touch and appears to be cured, but a solvent smell is present You need to wait until it the solvent smell is not present, meaning that the solvents evaporated.

Please note: the vinyl we use contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
